Advocacy Seminar at Ittefaq Hospital Lahore Recognizing that nurses are the backbone of a functional healthcare service delivery system and that nurse-patient interactions significantly impact patient experience at hospitals, the PHC held an advocacy seminar for nursing leadership at Ittefaq Hospital Lahore on 28th October.
During the meeting, the parties considered the formalities of collaborating on training on the MSDS. Meeting with the Infection Prevention and Control Foundation On 25th September, members of the senior management of the Commission met with representatives of the Infection Prevention and Control IPAC Foundation; a non-profit organization focusing on preventive health.
Supporting Population Control Recognizing the relevance of population control on healthcare and health outcomes and the adverse impact of population growth on healthcare service delivery, the PHC has been proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders to promote population control measures.
Challenges encountered by both sides were discussed in depth and it was decided that subsequent meetings would be held to develop a consensus on the way forward. Held at a local hotel in Multan on 21st August, the seminar was attended by representatives of 14 HCEs from districts Vehari and Multan, in addition to 5 internal and external surveyors of PHC.
Collaboration with Stakeholders On 27th July, the PHC participated in a meeting of the DEAG, where the current situation was discussed, along with a threat assessment based on the season, implications of the weather, etc.
Orientation for GPs on Disease Reporting A meeting was held on 25th June , in coordination with key stakeholders, including leadership from GPs and family physicians. It was decided that all stakeholders would forward their comments to the PWD for revision in the draft bill. State laws have established the level of mandated DSS oversight, which varies by type of provider. Each type of provider is subject to a set of regulations based on its child care setting.
However, providers can choose to deliver a higher standard of care. That means a family child care home provider, which is only required to be registered, can choose meet stricter health and safety standards by becoming licensed. What is a regulated activity?
For other services, such as mobile or visiting services, we need the location as either: the head office a regional office or area base from which day-to-day management of the regulated activities is directed. What is a registered manager? The regulations require us to impose a registered manager condition on the following types of providers requiring them to have one or more registered managers for the regulated activities they carry on: a partnership an organisation an individual who is not personally in day-to-day charge of carrying on the regulated activities or is not fit to do so.
What is a nominated individual? It is up to you who to nominate, as long as they meet these criteria. If you register as an individual or partnership you do not need a nominated individual. Registered carers must be over 18 or can be under 18 if they hold a child care qualification. Child Care Benefit for Registered Care Child Care Benefit for registered care is paid at a standard hourly rate for up to 50 hours per child per week if: You and your partner are working, looking for work, training, or studying at some time in the week that care is provided or You and your partner have an exemption from that requirement To qualify for Child Care Benefit for registered care, you do not have to meet an income or assets test.
To claim Child Care Benefit for registered care you need to download the claim form and lodge with receipts within 12 months of the care being provided.
In the case of divorced parents, if you have sole residential custody, only the parent with custody may claim, but if you have joint residential custody you may claim for the days of the week that you are deemed Primary Carer. This can also include grandparents who are primary carers.
