The room was big. The place could use a facelift with the facilities fee we are charged. And, there were no Halloween decorations at all at Cove Haven.
However, the other two resorts had a real nice Halloween setup. Chalet was closed on Sunday so a number of games, bicycling was closed. Though Mitchell refunded us and appointed us a gorgeous suite, we had to move all bags to and from car some distances in rain.
Gorgeous Lake. Private rooms, uniquely themed for couples. Front desk could have oriented us a bit better, as we were first time guests. We didn't realize, until asking, how to turn on the whirlpool, and didn't know, until reading the card by fireplace, that you needed to travel back to the Gift Shop to pick up a fire log.
Also, we would have expected real glasses and china cups in the room, considering the price being paid. Stayed in Garden of Eden suite. It was very roomy and we enjoyed the pool, sauna and whirlpool, as well as the fireplace. The room was very clean. When I arrived at my room it was absolutely freezing. Whoever did the cleaning had turned the ac all the way up to 60, it didn't matter too much but it stopped us from going into the pool because of just how cold the room was.
A lot of the things we came for were closed due to covid. There wasn't any archery or billiards available which was a bummer but IMHO the pros of this place greatly outweigh the cons. The room was way more then i ever could have expected.
The staff was very friendly and very willing to help explain how everything around there worked. Some meals were delicious but some not so great.
I liked all the different games and amenities. Staff was wonderful. Food was ok. Spa treatment was excellent. Cobwebs in the dining area were visible.

A hot tub at Pocono Palace. Some have carpeted areas and older, plastic shower stalls. Lake Wallenpaupack provides a setting that's naturally romantic, with activities varying by season. Boating, waterskiing, and fishing are available in warmer months, with nature trails to explore year-round.

The small indoor pool is housed in a sunny space with a stone-lined stream adding ambience as it feeds into a whirlpool. The spa offers massages, wraps, scrubs and other body treatments, as well as rituals for couples.
The gym is older but offers a decent array of cardio and strength-training machines in a big room with large windows. The hotel also offers guided nature walks seasonally , a small driving range, indoor ice skating, and paintball facilities, among other activities. While Cove Haven Couples Resort Poconos advertises that guests can stay at any one of its three locations and "play" at the other two Paradise Stream and Pocono Palace with free access to amenities, most will find the other resorts to be too far away for this to be a realistic option.
They are both almost an hour away by car.
