Despite being a little rough around the edges Merui is still very kindhearted and even wise when it comes to other people's problems. Throughout the game her mission is to uncover Alistair's true identity before the month is over, whether or not she accomplishes this is up to the player. At first glance he is arrogant and cold, not at all easy to get along with.
However as the old saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover". An act of kindness might just reveal something completely unexpected. A cute shy classmate of Merui. Although he doesn't talk very much he's very intelligent and responsible. He and Merui are partners on a school project in the game and throughout the month it's up to the player to spend time on it A star basketball player and the Vice President of the Student Council Derek is known for being a bit of a player.
He's cocky, cheerful, and generous Again it's up to the player to find out. The gameplay of RE: Alistair is simple, but enjoyable. The game has a visual novel format which allows you too make choices as you play which will determine your ending.
On top of that however there is a statistics system that is fairly important for getting the good endings of each guy. You choose how and where you spend your time. Each guy has one special item that is necessary to unlock a certain scene.
There are 5 ending in total. Three of the endings are 'Good Endings' there is one for each boy, these include the special scenes unlocked by the special item mentioned earlier. There are two other endings, one good, and one bad. But hey, that's never stopped anyone, right? Take control of Merui and make new friends, balance schoolwork and fun, go shopping, search for the culprit, and maybe even discover a new romance.
The player takes the role of the protagonist, Merui. The game is primarily told in visual novel format, where the player's decisions affect the plot and relationships she has with potential love interests in the game.
It is possible to see five different endings, depending on the choices and the amount of status obtained in the stat raising part of the game.
